Simple monochrome and denim OOTD….

Top & Watch - ASOS
Jeans - Topshop Joni jeans
Shoes - Dr Marten
Socks & Shirt - Primark

Sometimes keeping it simple is best, right? I bought these jeans on a recent trip to Birmingham and now I'm fairly certain that my life won't be complete until I own them in every colour/finish. Quite easily the best fitting jeans I've ever had the pleasure of wearing. I'm also 100% certain these are my favourite shoes I've ever owned, especially teamed with frilly socks and a monochrome outfit. Delicate necklace, chunky gold watch and natural hair and I'm done.

Smart/Casual OOTD….

Shirt - H&M
Jeans - Vero Moda
Boots - Office
Necklace - Dorothy Perkins
Watch - Jag
Leather Jacket - Mango
Bag - River Island

Road tested one of the Revlon Matte Balms here, in Elusive, the pinky shade that everyone seems to be going crazy for. I know this sounds so cliched but never has a matte lip products felt so moisturising and creamy on the lips. It shouldn't work, but it so does. Will be purchasing more very soon so any recommendations are welcome!

OOTN ft my new Guess handbag...

With working in a handbag shop comes only one thing....an ever expanding handbag collection. I saw this one just before my birthday and was really lucky to have the money put into my account by my parents so I could get it as my birthday present!

Kimono and vest - Cotton On (Australia)
Jeggins - Zara
Heels - Office
Bag - Guess (from Strandbags)
Necklace - Collette (Australia)

I went off Guess as a brand when they started to go too 'blingy'....totally not my style. I also think they increased in price considerable, and at the same time loosing their quality and getting cheap and plastic looking. I'm still a bit off most of their offerings but this little cuties popped up in work and I couldn't say no....anything that combines a long strap, turquoise and leopard detailing and small enough that I don't work up a sweat lugging it around on the hot Australian summer days is a winner in my eyes!

Current obsessions...

I'm so in love with lots of things right now....

Mythic Oil: My hair has grown so much over the last few months, and I think it's probably a combo of not using much heat on it, and using this most days...it makes my hair feel so healthy!

Kate Moss for Rimmel lipstick in 03: I think I've worn this nearly ever day since I bought it, amazing colour and staying power, a really perfect nude without giving a 'foundation lip' effect.

The Body Shop Eye reviver duo: This is packed full of vitamin c to make your skin really bright and refreshed, I use this every morning (the under eye radiance cream and cooling all round eye roll on) before my makeup to keep my eyes sparkling and make my concealer stay on all day.

Vivo blush: I have NO idea what colour this is as it's worn off the back, but it's a gorgeous subtle shimmery pink that I've been using so much recently to perk up my tired winter skin, I want to get all the shades in these blushes they're so good for the money!

Office boots: I've been looking for some boots like this for AGES and finally found some in Office (of course) a few weeks ago, these have been moulded to my feet ever since!

Multi-coloured nails: I haven't had all my nails the same colour for months, this is much more fun!

T-shirts: This is only a small collection of my t-shirts, I cannot stop buying them! I'm really not a shirt or 'pretty' top sort of girl, if I could live in t-shirts and denim shorts all my life I would!

Estee Lauder Double Wear: This is a bit of a cheat as I've only worn this once, but the obsession part comes from looking at it's beautiful-ness (real word, honest) on my makeup shelf, I can't wait to start using it more!

One Day: I CANNOT put this down, I'm so near the end and am dying to know how it ends. I'm definitely going to have to watch the film as soon as I've read the rest of this!

What are your current obsessions?

My current obsessions....

A bit different to my monthly favourites, this has a bit of everything in it! The first one is my new coat from River Island. I wanted one of these last year but never got around to buying one. This year I wasn’t missing out. £50 from River Island.

Mememe lipstick in Pashmina Pink. I hate that it melts, but I love the smell, consistency, glossy finish, colour, staying power and packaging. Wearing this makes me feel 10x better.

Little Miracles: Perfect hangover cure, and great to keep me awake during the first couple of hours at work, which is always a struggle!!

Wearing two pairs of tights at once. OK this isn’t actually a new obsession as I’ve been doing it for years but now the weathers turning Baltic, I can’t get enough of how cosy my legs have been.

Office Mudslingers. No this isn’t my odd nickname for them, that’s their name. I bought these a couple of weeks before I left Office and I can honestly say they are the comfiest heels I’ve ever bought and non of my other going out shoes have had a look in. I’ve never once fallen over in them (which is a huge bonus as I tend to do this when I’ve had a wine or 5) and they’ve never ever rubbed or made my feet sore. I can walk all the way home in them after spending hours on the dancefloor. They are actually more comfortable than a lot of my flat every day shoes. And they look beautiful which is an added bonus.

Blanx toothpaste. Again not a new find, I’ve used this for AGES but I did kind of stop for a while (don’t know why) and noticed my teeth weren’t as pearly white anymore. So I’m re-acquainted with my old friend and can’t wait to be able to blind people with my smile. If you’ve never tried this, DO IT!

Ed Sheeran. No explanation needed. If you’re not sure what I’m on about, listen to this….

TV. Apart from getting hooked on the odd reality show, I’ve never been big into TV. But now, X Factor (I LOVE MARCUS, MISCHA, THE RISK AND CRAIG!!), TOWIE, Made in Chelsea, Educating Essex, Celebrity Juice, Goks Fashion Roadshow, Young Soldiers, Sandhurst, Strictly Come Dancing, 71 degrees North, the Bachelor, and the bloody rugby (love rugby, hate the early morning starts on a weekend!!) are taking over my life. Good job it’s winter and I’m man-less, gives me a good excuse to hibernate under my duvet on the sofa!!

What’s everyone else obsessed with right now?
And if it’s X Factor like me, who’s going to win?!?

New shoes....

Maybe not everyone's cup of tea but I've been lusting after these for ages. They'll literally go with everything, and despite my Topshop drama (if you follow me on twitter you'll know what I mean) I finally got them on Friday. And I thought they deserved a post all to themselves.

End of an era...

I have to say, I'm not feeling particularly cheerful today :(

It was my last shift at Office and, as much as I can't wait to have my weekends back and be able to go out and get horribly drunk on a Saturday and not worry about work the next day, I will miss it sooo much (and no, not just the discount!)

So anyway to make myself feel better, I used up my last discount on a pair of beautiful shoes, as well as some that have just gone in the sale!

The first ones are these wedges which I've heard from some of the girls from work who have bought them that they are PAINFUL but I thought I'd give them a go, and because they were on promotion and not sale I could use my discount as well so I got them for less than £30!! (sorry one picture with flash one without lol).

I also bought these brogues which I've wanted FOREVER! Mums got them in cream and also in grey, but it was, of course, the coral one's I've had my eyes on! You've probably seen these all over the magazines in the past couple of months, I know I've seen Pixie Lott photographed wearing hers loads just recently.

So that's the end of my time at Office :( I know I'm going to regret leaving but I just wanted to go back to working 5 days a week instead of 6!
Hope everyone's having a lovely weekend :)

Shoes glorious shoes...

This is going to be a fairly quick one because it's fair to say I'm suffering pretty badly from last night! I went out with some of he girls to celebrate Steph moving home for good after her four years of uni, and it got pretty messy! (it gets a bit picture heavy at the bottom of this post, sorry!)

I had work yesterday at Office and went a bit mad with my purchases!!

I got yet another pair of hightop converse, I'm developing a bit of an addiction!

I also got a pair of shoes in the sale that, I'll be honest, I hadn't really taken a lot of notice of when we had them in first time around but as soon as I saw them in the sale, I HAD to buy them!!

I had a 45% discount to use up and as soon as I'd seen these burnt orange numbers, I knew I probably wouldn't be able to live without them. Here's a quick picture, but take a look at all my pics below from last night to see them in all their glory....

I wore: shirt from New Look that I bought earlier in the week, high waisted denim shorts from Miss Selfridge, new shoes from office.

Steph wore a navy one shouldered dress from ASOS and metallic sandals from Evans.

Kellie wore a black strapless jumpsuit from H&M, and wedges from New Look.

Just a few snaps from last night..... (and please don't ask what we were drinking, I know it looked toxic and I can assure you it tasted toxic too....)

Bank Holiday Pt 2....

Now, I'd love to say that this Bank Holiday was a wild one but, well, it wasn't. Been feeling rubbish and a bit down (missing a certain someone who's buggard off to Newquay which naturally means we have less communication that we did when he lived around the corner).

I went out Thursday in a horrible denim dress that for some reason I thought would be a good idea to buy but I ended up feeling seriously self conscious all night so will be relegating to wear with a cardigan and sandals in the daytime (not to self, I don't do strapless).

So Friday was the Royal Wedding and, I'll happily admit, I cried. Twice. Only a tear in the eye moment, but still an emotional one. I thought Kate looked sensational, and was so glad she went for McQueen. I literally squealed with excitement when I caught a glimpse of Sarah Burton helping Kate into the car outside the hotel!! Also, all credit to The Queen, colour blocking like a pro in yellow. And of course, Pippa. Stole the show in her dress, with a figure to die for!!!

Speaking of figures, my detox started today, and I celebrated the last supper with a 4 plater all you can eat Chinese buffet. But all the fun's ended and I'm on a serious green tea diet.....I am a huge fan of green tea normally, but usually just standard or with a hint of lemon...

I've decided to get a little bit more adventurous though and raided Morrisons tea aisle for variations...

I have to say, White Tea is incredible. Not such a strong flavour as green tea, but still got the same health qualities. I'm yet to try any of these fruity green teas but I'm hoping for a success!

I also got a bag of ground Flax Seeds to put into yogurt or over my cereal in the morning to hopefully prevent my 10.30am cravings of anything and everything edible. Not sure how I'm going to take to these but I'll try anything once and at the bargain price of £1.75 who can say no???

So anyway I did a car boot sale on Sunday morning and made a successful wedge of cash which is going on a tank of petrol with a fair bit left over, that I won't lie was spent in H&M today on this....

Skirt was £7.99 and for those days where I can't bear to wear tights to work!! It's just the right length to wear bare legs to work, and will look cute with a little white cami and some tan lofa 's or boat shoes.

This picture really doesn't show this dress off to it's full beauty....seriously stunning for £30! I know I said I didn't do strapless but the way this sits is all ruffled around the top so gives the illusion of a bigger chest so I can wear a suitable bra haha!! It's pale pink and black, again you can't quite tell in this dress. So I have the beautiful dress, all I need now is a hot man to take me out on a hot date.....although chance would be a fine thing!

And what girl could be without a few bandeau tops now the summer is here. I've got so many drop arm sleeve tops that need a bit more than just a bra underneath....so I've always been a massive fan of these!! Two for £6.99 is always a winner!

And what did I wear for my final supper and my shopping trip...?

New boat shoes from office, with my H&M drop crotch trousers (which I managed to get egg fried rice down....) and a Topshop black cami, and my new cropped bleach denim jacket I got in Birmingham on my shopping trip with the girls the other day. And of course, my new favourite Hot Chilli Rimmel lipstick.

Other than all this, it's been a pretty relaxing weekend...and so the detox starts here. Well, after watching Up with Dad (who claim's it's the saddest film he's ever watched. No, genuinely, he's almost in tears...)
