Burgundy dress OOTD...

This dress comes out a lot more red in pictures than it really is! It's a cute, chiffon overlay, button up dress that I seem to be able to find many occasions for! It's a great dress for going out to dinner thanks to the cut and the very clever chiffon, and I've pulled it out of the wardrobe for many a night out with the girls. Love a multi-tasker.

Road tested one of the Revlon Matte Balms here, in Elusive, the pinky shade that everyone seems to be going crazy for. I know this sounds so cliched but never has a matte lip products felt so moisturising and creamy on the lips. It shouldn't work, but it so does. Will be purchasing more very soon so any recommendations are welcome!

Update and wedding outfit...

Hey all, so I'm back in Australia! I've been back a week and it's been pretty hectic - job hunting, recovering from jet lag, a wedding and of course enjoying being back with the boyfriend. It's no where near as hot over here as it is back in England (it is Aussie winter after all!) so I'm afraid a lot of my outfit posts over the next few weeks might not be too in keeping with the English weather but hey-ho, some could say I'm a season ahead! 

So like I said, wedding time! And who doesn't love a wedding? It was a beautiful day, beautiful views (I stole some of Ty's pictures!) and beautiful bride.

So, how easy is it to just throw a pair of jeans on and a plain t-shirt in the morning? Too easy most of the time. However saying that, the oldies are the goodies or whatever the saying is, and when all else fails, you can't go wrong!

OOTN - Embracing a longer hemline....

You know you're getting older when you wear a jacket and embrace a longer hemline on a night out! I went out with the girls and Ty (poor guy) to Leicester for a few Cosmopolitans and a gossip last night, and aired my calves in a midi dress. Previously I thought they made me look like a middle ages business woman but I loved the colours and design of this one, made it feel a bit younger and much more my style.

Two days away in Lincoln and Skegvegas...

It was the first proper trip since Ty got to England and we headed to Lincoln for the day to show him around the castle and cathedral, eat proper pie then 2 for 1 cocktails. We stayed in a gorgeous old hotel where the Bishop lived, then went to the legend that is Skegvegas for the afternoon. 2p slot machines became an addiction.

Tiny Birmingham Haul and OOTD...

So I fully intended to go to Birmingham to pick up a few things for Australia and failed spectacularly! I mainly wanted to go to Illamasqua to pick up one of their Brow Cakes and the sealing gel which I did manage to get. I got the shade Gaze which is a dark grey but does go almost black with the sealing gel, but I was slightly disappointed they didn't have a black shade. I also just picked up a couple of rings from Forever21...rude not to...

 I just wore my new Zara top, H&M leather jacket, Zara jeggings, white converse and standard River Island bag....

Ootd...Girl with the Dragon Tattoo jacket and denim shorts....

There seems to be a lot of ootd’s at the moment doesn’t there?! I’ve literally had no free time while it’s been daylight so not had time to take pictures for reviews and fotd’s but hopefully over Christmas I’ll get lots done!

This week has been so busy, but with it being the week before Christmas you’d guess it would be! I met up with the girls this week for out annual present swapping tradition. We went to Frankie and Bennies and gossiped about everyone being back from university, our jobs, and all the other usual stuff.

I clearly didn’t fancy embracing the Christmassy vibe at all, and wore a bit of a dark combo. This is the jacket I got in H&M from the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo collection and I love it!

My lipstick is one of the Double Hit Lips from the new Look Beaty range and I love it, it’s the exact shade I’ve been searching for high and low for ages!

Always time to party....

This one's a few days late as it's about my weekend but I've been so busy! I went out for a randomly decided night out on Saturday with my friend Matt, went from 'a drink' to ending up in our local night club dancing until who only knows what time! As I wasn't sure where the night was taking me, I went quite casual...

LOVE this t-shirt, I picked it up in Birmingham from River Island ages ago and hadn't got around to wearing it, and we all know how I love a slogan t-shirt!!

My favourite part of the outfit were my nails, I used one of the magnetised nail varnishes from 17! I had so many comments all night!

(sorry about the neatness, was hard to get the cuticles perfect because of my gel nails, they're due to be filled in I promise!)

Has anyone else tried these? I thought they'd be a bit of a gimmick but I really do love them and they give such a good effect!

Happy birthday to me...

Wow I've been a terrible blogger recently, just been SO busy! Here's just a quick one to keep you going...


It was my birthday last week and I popped into Birmingham with my Mum and Dad to try and get my birthday present. I didn't really get much (don't know where my shopping mojo was that day!) but I will do a bit of a collective haul to show you what I did purchase over the weekend if I get chance!


I just threw on my trusty New Look denim shorts and Urban Outfitters cross top and of course my white converse...got to be comfy on your birthday!!

Me and the girls went out in Leicester on Saturday to celebrate me being old, and also as an excuse to show off my new 'plum' hair. I was a bit shocked at how dark it looked on my hair considering I'd seen a lot of other people dye their hair the exact same colour and looked so much lighter. I've not had chance to get a decent picture in natural light yet but I'll try and get one before it fades too much!
