Hats, checks and oversized t-shirt OOTD….

Simple and laid back is my go-to style of choice lately. This was just a quick thrown together outfit before I left the house for a last minute makeup job this week. Skinny jeans and a black t-shirt will forever be my wardrobe staple. I'm not 100% sure on the hat though, what do we think of hats guys??

Jeans - Vera Moda

Checks, denim, Dr Marten OOTD….

Shirt - Topshop
Shorts - Sportsgirl
Bag - Collarado @ Strandbags
Boots - Dr Martens
Belt - Dorothy Perkins
Sunglasses - Ray Ban
Watch - ASOS
Nails - Essie Blanc
Lips - Mac Morange

I love those carefully planned outfits that look thrown together. I've been searching for an oversized black and white checked shirt and finally found this one hiding behind a load of other checked numbers in the Birmingham Bullring Topshop. Paired with some denim shorts and black boots I just love how thrown together the whole thing looked. And, as always, my colour injection for this outfit came in the form of a nice bright lipstick…all hail Mac Morange as being my absolute favourite bright lipstick. Ever.

What's everyone else's go-to outfits at the moment?

A floral OOTD from someone who hates florals….

Shirt - Topshop
Leggings & ring - Primark
Boots - Dr Marten

I'm not the worlds biggest floral lover by any stretch of the imagination….but I found this shirt lurking in the depths of my wardrobe last week and decided that, even though it has more of an Autumnal air about it, I'd give it a shot. I love this style of shirt, perfect to throw on with leggings and boots with an oversized denim jacket for cooler days.

How else would you style something like this?

My go-to spring outfit….and no floral prints in sight….

Top - vintage shop
Jeans - Zara
Bag - River Island
Dr Martens - Dr Marten shop
Watch - ASOS
Sunglasses - RayBan

I'm sorry but spring does not always = pastel and floral. I find spring the hardest season to buy clothes for as shops seem to be full of pretty prints and cute colours which, in general, are not for me. So this spring I'll be living in my skinny jeans, black boots and vest top. If I'm going to do colour….it will be on my lips. Usually in the form of a red-orange matte lipstick.

Anyone else not a floral fan? Or am I on my own here?

Aztec brights OOTD....

Dress - Primark
Boots - Dr Marten
Bag - Australian market
Watch - Jag at Myer (Australia)

Just a casual outfit for shopping in Brisbane a little while ago, beautiful weather but still needed some good shoes for pounding the pavements and dragging the boyfriend around all the makeup shops!
On a side note, I'm loving how my hair has got natural ombre from the sunshine!

The best dress for hiding a food baby OOTN....

Dress - Trade Secrets (Australias version of TK Maxx)
Bag - Australia market
Boots - ASOS
Jacket - Topshop

Dresses and boots are by far my favourite combination at the moment, even though it's pretty much summer over here now I'm not read to give them up just yet! So I'm totally in love with this dress, so much so that I bought it in black too. It's the perfect 'I'm going out for a meal and I'm going to certainly develop a food baby' dress. I was actually going out for Thai food this night so I'm glad I opted for this rather than jeans!

Man's t-shirt OOTD...

Being a fan of men's clothes over women's most of the time (how come they have much cooler t-shirt designs than us??!) I was only too willing to help the bf out when he only liked one t-shirt in the 2 for $30 offer in JayJays recently. Their 'oversized' range have a great cut and I got away with a size small to wear as a dress!

Little grey dress OOTD...

Dress - Valley Girl (Australia)
Shirt - Primark
Boots - Dr Martens
Bag - Australian market
Necklace and rings - Primark
Watch and sunglasses - ASOS

This dress was so inexpensive I picked one up in most colours. They're going to be great for summer when I'm down the beach to throw over a bikini, and I'll bring them home to layer up with tights and chunky cardigans for the UK winter.

Leopard print and Docs OOTD....

So, like I said, it's winter over here! And boy is it chilly. Not a patch on English winter I'll grant you but still not as toasty as all you girls back in England are enjoying. So it's time to dig out the boots and cardigan for a nice wintery OOTD...

Cardigan - JayJays (Australia)
Jeans and black top - Miss Selfridge
Boots - Dr Marten shop

I had my first day at work today so it's time to me to relax with my feet up and my Kindle for the rest of the evening.

Review... Revlon super lustrous lip gloss...

Now correct me if I'm wrong but these seem to be the same as the original glosses but in new packaging? Regardless, I knew as soon as the Boots £3 off Revlon makeup dropped on my doorstep I wanted to pick one up. I'm most definitely loving my nude glosses and lipsticks again so went for 205 snow pink - a nude pink with gold glitter running through.

So pretty alone or over a pink/nude lipstick, a lot less sticky than most drugstore lip glosses and fairly long lasting. I've been in and out of the rain taking blog photo's all afternoon and drinking copious cups of tea and it's still holding in there.

If anyone's not sure what to use their £3 off Revlon boots voucher for - check these beauties out!

Has anyone else tried these yet and rated them?

OOTD - back to basics...

So, how easy is it to just throw a pair of jeans on and a plain t-shirt in the morning? Too easy most of the time. However saying that, the oldies are the goodies or whatever the saying is, and when all else fails, you can't go wrong!

Back to England just in time for a Bank Holiday....

You call this summer? While most of England is making the most of the bright orange thing in the sky peeking through the clouds, I'm rugged up in leggings boots and jumpers still. I'm definitely not in Australia anymore!

So I got back four days ago, and have managed to go shopping, then go shopping, go shopping again, and drink a fair amount of vodka with the girls. I also squeezed in a Harvester, a Nando's, a Starbucks and two Costa's. Clearly got my priorities right.

Dress: Primark
Jacket: Topshop
Bag: Australia market
Belt: New Look (one of my new buys)
Hair: natural if you can believe it!

Just one of my mini hauls from the past few days, I popped into Boots to use up some of the points Mum had accumulated over the past 12 months, and was clearly craving eyelashes! Got to love 3 for 2. Also picked up the Bumble and Bumble texturising (un)dressing cream, Soap and Glory Flake Away (hello holy grail product and oh how I have missed you), a new Barry M lippy, the final Rimmel Apocolips for my collection in Luna, a Rimmel Scandalise eye crayon, Seche Vite, and finally Benefit Fake Up which I can honestly say is INcredible.

Then of course there was the obligatory reunion night out in the home town -

Top: Supre (Australian)
Bracelets: ASOS
Heels: Step In Style

So this is officially me saying HI I'm back. And seeing as I'm going to Birmingham shopping (again) tomorrow, I'll see you next time with a haul!

OOTD ft. the most beautiful ankle boots you ever will see....

It's a rare occasion when you can dress up in my little town of Rainbow Beach, so when the girls suggested a few drinks in our local bar listening to our favorite Irish band (happy St Patrick's day by the way everyone!) I was in! Unfortunately, this is about as dressed up as it gets around here (oh how I long for my heels back some days).

Shirt: Forever 21
Top: Valley Girl (Australia)
Belt: Dorothy Perkins
Skirt: BooHoo
Boots: ASOS
Bracelets: Diva, and a mixture of collections up and down the East Coast of Australia
Necklace: Primark
Handbag: Market in Perth, Australia

After my black Dr Martens got sent home to the UK instead of here to Australia (sob) I was desperately in need of some footwear, seeing as I'd managed to ruin everything bar a pair of black flip flops. My previous shoe collection would be so ashamed. I picked these beauties up from ASOS for around 50 pounds and they are so heavy duty and chunky looking, my favorite with tights and lacy dresses when it finally cools down over here. A new found love for my wardrobe.

My current obsessions....

I've done quite a few OOTD posts recently so thought I'd throw one of these into the mix to spice things up a bit...

Office boots. I've really turned my back on my high heels and pretty shoes in favour of these as you may have notices in my outfit of the night pictures recently. They look cute with skinny jeans, denim shorts and even dresses.

Babybels: Literally can't stop muching on these!

Reading in general, but this book has got me HOOKED. It's all about gangs, prostitutes and murders. Lovely.

Vanilla scents are my absolute favourite right now, and this body spray is only around £2 from Boots. The smell stays on my body for ages and I can smell it on my clothes days later!

This is the second 'current obsessions' post in a row that this has turned up in. I do not know why I'd never dabbled in hair oils before, my hair is seriously thanking me for it right now!

I'm usually quite a lazy highlighter but I'm loving it recently, especially this VIVO highlighter. It's around £5, comes in a massive tube so will last forever, and applied with a small blush brush to the top of my cheek bones looks lovely!

Topshop makeup is one of my favourite brands right now, and I've been loving these glittery eye crayons. I may do a review on these and some face of the days wearing them, let me know if you want to see them!

Looking after my nails. Since I had my gel nails taken off a couple of months ago, my nails have been a mess. I swear by these tablets from Holland & Barrett, and this Sally Hansen Maximum Growth is one of my holy grail products!

Love Nero right now, this makes me wanna go outside and dance in the sunshine.

Sunday treats....

It's only right, I think, that after an amazing Saturday night celebrating the besties 23rd birthday that a teeny tiny bit f retail therapy is needed. Rude not to really! I was in desperat need of a new lip balm as all of mine seemed to have ran out at once so I popped to Boots and went a bit wild...

I'd had a Burt's Bee's lip balm ages ago but never re-purchased for some reason so thought I'd re-buy. Of course it hasn't disjointed. I'd sen this Blistex lip massage in a magazine last week, and thought it seemed a bit of a nifty gadget so thought I'd pick this up too. It's so so nice, really tingly and the lip massager is a bit of a really gentle exfoliator too! I randomly picked up a cheapy Boot own Coconut & Almond lip butter mainly because I need something to throw in my draw at work but also anything coconut scented is a winner recently, my fave! Lastly I bought the more expensive (£8 for a lipbalm?!?!) Soap & Glory Mighty Mouth, but only because I was picking up some other things from the range and it turned out to be free on their 3 for 2 offer....

I've not tried the lip balm or the moisture lotion yet but I did pop the No Clogs Aloud mask on earlier for the full 5 minutes and can honestly say this has made my skin feel like nothing before, it's so smooth, even and clear. I'm practically glowing! I'll be putting a full review of this up some time this week, it's amazing!

Thought I'd also pop up a quick OOTN pic up while I'm here, my hair looks slightly odd in this pic but it's the angle of the pic I think, it looked normal in real life!

Leather gillet: Matalan
Black strapless dress, jeans and jewellery: Miss Selfridge
Allegra Boots: Topshop
Clutch bag: Matalan

Hope you've all had a fab weekend

Weekly review....17 All About Nude quad...

Hey lovelies...I've literally only had this a day and I have to tell you all about it. You may have seen it in Boots, if you buy any two items of their makeup you get this nude quad free....

First of all, gorgeous packaging. Shiny white colour with black writing, nice and chunky feeling, with a sturdy clasp and a good mirror inside. So far, so good...

On first impression, I wouldn't have assumed these were particularly 'nude' colours, especially the lip colour.

These are the eyeshadows, a bronze/brown and a pinky gold. They have amazing pigmentation, don't crumble, and stay put ALL day (trust me I wore them both on my eyes today)

The cream blush doesn't really show up as having much colour pay-off on here, but it actually gave me a lovely glow, and as a firm lover of powder blushes over cream, this actually surprised me a lot. I want to find out if they do this shade in their core collection and if they do I'm most definitely buying it as a makeup bag staple.

I love this lipgloss, and with all the other shades worn at the same time it really complements them well.

All in all I love this. It's great to have a quad/palette with nearly a full face all in one place where all the colours and shades look great together so you don't have to give it too much thought as you rush to leave the house in the morning.

I took a close up of the eyeshadows for you to see how they work blended together...
(please excuse the eyebrows, I'm getting them waxed on Saturday so can't pluck!!)

And here's my face with all four elements of the quad used. Apologies for looking rough, this was before 7am this morning!
All in all, my advice is to get yourself to Boots and buy a couple of 17 products so you can pick one of these up. So handy to not have to think about what blush goes with what eyeshadow in the morning. Anything for an easy life in my opinion!!
