No shopping shopping trip....

Shopping has gone from being my number one hobby to absolute torture for me because of saving for Oz. I popped into Leicester with Mum today and managed to behave particularly well. I just picked up one or two things in Primark for my trip (vests, leggings etc) and then treated myself in Zara. Everyone's been raving about Zara recently and I can SO see why, there's some right gems in there! I got this top for £15.99 mainly because it's FIT!

I'll probably wear it with my studded denim shorts, ripped tights, leather jacket and my beloved Office boots. Just need an occasion to wear it now!

Face of the day featuring Revlon Lip Butters....

I went round my friends house the other night (only just got around to posting this) and I wouldn't usually make so much of an effort but I was bored so started playing around with some different makeup before I went out! I've hardly tanned recently and been wearing a really light covering of Bourjois Healthy Mix and a touch of powder so this seemed to looks REALLY heavy on my skin which I wasn't much of a fan of.

Benefit Porefessional primer
EL Double Wear
Bobby Brown corrector in Light Bisque
Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection concealer in Medium
Rimmel Stay Mat Powder in 005 Silky Beige
Vivo highlighter
W7 blush (cheap but amazing!) in Baby Pink
Benefit Lemonaid
Urban Decay Sin from the Naked Palette
Bourjois Extreme Black clubbing mascara (waterproof)
HD Brows in the darkest shade (no idea what it is)
GOSH eyebrow gel
Mac eye Kohl in Smoulder
Revlon Lip Butter in Cupcake

Love how LONG my hair looks in this picture!! I've got extensions in as always but they're only just under an inch longer than my real hair so I just wear them for volume...and my hair looks SO long here!! *does victory air punch and happy dance at the same time*

Hope you're all enjoying the sunshine beauts!!

My current obsessions....

I've done quite a few OOTD posts recently so thought I'd throw one of these into the mix to spice things up a bit...

Office boots. I've really turned my back on my high heels and pretty shoes in favour of these as you may have notices in my outfit of the night pictures recently. They look cute with skinny jeans, denim shorts and even dresses.

Babybels: Literally can't stop muching on these!

Reading in general, but this book has got me HOOKED. It's all about gangs, prostitutes and murders. Lovely.

Vanilla scents are my absolute favourite right now, and this body spray is only around £2 from Boots. The smell stays on my body for ages and I can smell it on my clothes days later!

This is the second 'current obsessions' post in a row that this has turned up in. I do not know why I'd never dabbled in hair oils before, my hair is seriously thanking me for it right now!

I'm usually quite a lazy highlighter but I'm loving it recently, especially this VIVO highlighter. It's around £5, comes in a massive tube so will last forever, and applied with a small blush brush to the top of my cheek bones looks lovely!

Topshop makeup is one of my favourite brands right now, and I've been loving these glittery eye crayons. I may do a review on these and some face of the days wearing them, let me know if you want to see them!

Looking after my nails. Since I had my gel nails taken off a couple of months ago, my nails have been a mess. I swear by these tablets from Holland & Barrett, and this Sally Hansen Maximum Growth is one of my holy grail products!

Love Nero right now, this makes me wanna go outside and dance in the sunshine.

Weekly review... Revlon lip butters....

I heard the hype. I saw the reviews. I dismissed them as something I'd never really be bothered in. I then saw them on my local makeup lady's market stall for 2 for £5 (she buys the testers before they go into stores or something, there are some serious bargains!!) and thought 'I'll give them a go'. Then of course I fell in love with them!

I picked up the colours Peach Parfait and Cupcake, neither of which I'd heard much about. I did really love Strawberry Shortcake (I think that's the name) but Cupcake seemed a much more lilac-pink which I love right now.

Left - Peach Parfait. Right - Cupcake.

Firstly they are SO silky, they do take some effort to build up the colour but I'd read that and was prepared for it. They smell gorgeous, have a gorgeous glossy finish without being sticky like a typical gloss, and don't smudge like I was expecting them to.

Ready for some stupid squinty pictures? Good, because as soon as I set my camera up outside the bloody sun came out and blinded me so I look ridiculous, but the colours do show up lovely!

Peach Parfait has a really obvious gold glitter running through it in the tube but as soon as it's on the lips that sort of disappears which I'm quite pleased about. It's a really natural, 'healthy' colour that I'll be wearing daily from now on!

Cupcake is my new obsession. A real lilac toned pink, this will look AMAZING with a tan, and I'll build the colour up to pair it with a smokey gold eye on a night out!

Has anyone else tried the lip butters? What other shades do you recommend? I'm hoping to go back for some more soon!

Couple of casual OOTD's....

Hey all I'm finally back on the blogging bandwagon after what has been a mad week. It was my last day in my job today so that was sad :( but now I've got to get on the job search for something between now and my travels but that leaves me with lots of time to get blogging again. I popped into town on Saturday just for a walk to the Library, then tagged along with Mum and Dad shopping on Sunday for the promise of a Starbucks....here's what I wore...

Cropped navy jumper: Crafter at Republic
Long black vest: H&M
Leggings: Primark
Bag: River Island
Converse: Office

Top: H&M
Hoody: Primark mens

I've got a top 10 lipsticks post and a current obsessions post coming up this week so I'll see you all soon

I'm a tiger again....

Hey lovelies....sorry I've been quiet again this week, it's been a bit of a mad one. I got made redundant this week so I need to find a job to keep me going between now and Australia as I need the money for my savings to go out there, however if I can't find one straight away I'm afraid I'll be filling all your Twitter timelines and reading lists with my rambles! Anyway just in case you start to forget me until normal service resumes after the weekend....HIYYAA!

Top 5 eyeshadows...

Hey lovelies, sorry I've been quiet on here this week, I've had a bit of a mad one! I'm not really an eyeshadow fan, but there are one or two I do reach for when I'm in the mood...

Urban Decay Roach: This is gorgeous all over the lid then smoked out to create a subtle daytime look, or heavily in the crease with huge false lashes for something a bit more dramatic at night

The Body Shop shimmer cube in Honeycomb: I LOVE this shade, I've used it daily for months and it's hardly gone down. Just damp an eyeshadow brush and sweep it through the colour then over the lid. These will definitely be coming to Oz with me!

Not so much a shadow, but Mac Paint Pot in Bare Study is an everyday base colour, either by itself or as a base for a pale smokey eye at night. Pain Pots are fast becoming one of my favourite collectable Mac items!

Back to Urban Decay, and of course the trusty Naked Palette! Hustle is an incredible purply brown that I smudge across the outer corner over the top of Bar Study as a staple night out look.

Yet again UD, and this time Sin from the Naked palette. Another colour that I love as an all over colour wash for the lid, or as a base for a pink smokey eye!

Do any of these make your top 5?

OOTN - Ripped tights and RIP Up The Amp....

Hey all, hope you're all having a lovely weekend. I went out for one of my best friends birthday's last night (dreading seeing some of the pictures) and wore...

Shirt: Miss Selfridge
Shorts: Topshop
Tights: Primary (yep, that's right, Primark!!)
Boots: Office
Jewellery: mix of Miss Selfridge, Cyprus, ASOS

I'm trying to grow my fringe out which is annoying as it's still mega short so this is about the only hair style I can manage right now! I re-dyed my hair to Black Cherry again just to freshen the colour up a bit but without the flash on in these pictures you can't really tell.

Also, if you follow me on Twitter you'll have seen me ranting last night about my poor Up The Amp lipstick that I wore, which has now melted into a gloopy mess just like Saint Germain did a couple of years ago. Is it something about the amplified formula's? Has anyone else had this issue? And why is it always my FAVOURITE ones??

Yes, this is a man's t-shirt.....

I love a t-shirt. Even more than this, I love a man's t-shirt. They have far better prints on them, are usually better quality, and more often than now...cheaper! Half my wardrobe is made up of t-shirts like this one...

Which I just chop the neck off...

Then the sleeves...

And voila....!
Chuck on some converse and a denim shirt, and I'm sorted...

Anyone else a fan of the mens section??

February empties....

As every month, I've gone through my trusty tub of Vitamin E moisturiser, TWO deodorants (bit excessive?) and, this month, a lot of samples from various beauty boxes.

I repurchased: Natural bronze cocoa butter, moisturiser, mini hairspray, lip balm, shampoo, Sally Hansen nail strengthener (LOVE this product!)

I didn't like: The F.A.B body wash from an old GlossyBox, the Collection2000 radiance boost concealer.

I'm pleased to have used up: my 17 primer, so now I have an excuse to splash out on a high end one. Any recommendations?? The Rimmel bronzer - I feel like I've had this years!
