Old faithful OOTD….disco pants and spots….

Shirt & handbag - Primark
Trousers - American Apparel Disco Pants
Shoes - New Look (my latest purchase and I LOVE them!!)

I had an epic false eyelash error this night which left my own lashes looking clumpy and not all too fresh! I did get chance to wear my latest Mac lipstick (oh Hi Debenhams £5 off all lipsticks…cheers for that one!) Coral Bliss

I'm almost a bit glad the weather has cooled down in the evenings now, I love these kind of outfits so much and it's been far too hot to even contemplate a disco pant themed look!!

OOTN ft my new Guess handbag...

With working in a handbag shop comes only one thing....an ever expanding handbag collection. I saw this one just before my birthday and was really lucky to have the money put into my account by my parents so I could get it as my birthday present!

Kimono and vest - Cotton On (Australia)
Jeggins - Zara
Heels - Office
Bag - Guess (from Strandbags)
Necklace - Collette (Australia)

I went off Guess as a brand when they started to go too 'blingy'....totally not my style. I also think they increased in price considerable, and at the same time loosing their quality and getting cheap and plastic looking. I'm still a bit off most of their offerings but this little cuties popped up in work and I couldn't say no....anything that combines a long strap, turquoise and leopard detailing and small enough that I don't work up a sweat lugging it around on the hot Australian summer days is a winner in my eyes!

Back to England just in time for a Bank Holiday....

You call this summer? While most of England is making the most of the bright orange thing in the sky peeking through the clouds, I'm rugged up in leggings boots and jumpers still. I'm definitely not in Australia anymore!

So I got back four days ago, and have managed to go shopping, then go shopping, go shopping again, and drink a fair amount of vodka with the girls. I also squeezed in a Harvester, a Nando's, a Starbucks and two Costa's. Clearly got my priorities right.

Dress: Primark
Jacket: Topshop
Bag: Australia market
Belt: New Look (one of my new buys)
Hair: natural if you can believe it!

Just one of my mini hauls from the past few days, I popped into Boots to use up some of the points Mum had accumulated over the past 12 months, and was clearly craving eyelashes! Got to love 3 for 2. Also picked up the Bumble and Bumble texturising (un)dressing cream, Soap and Glory Flake Away (hello holy grail product and oh how I have missed you), a new Barry M lippy, the final Rimmel Apocolips for my collection in Luna, a Rimmel Scandalise eye crayon, Seche Vite, and finally Benefit Fake Up which I can honestly say is INcredible.

Then of course there was the obligatory reunion night out in the home town -

Top: Supre (Australian)
Bracelets: ASOS
Heels: Step In Style

So this is officially me saying HI I'm back. And seeing as I'm going to Birmingham shopping (again) tomorrow, I'll see you next time with a haul!

OOTD ft. the most beautiful ankle boots you ever will see....

It's a rare occasion when you can dress up in my little town of Rainbow Beach, so when the girls suggested a few drinks in our local bar listening to our favorite Irish band (happy St Patrick's day by the way everyone!) I was in! Unfortunately, this is about as dressed up as it gets around here (oh how I long for my heels back some days).

Shirt: Forever 21
Top: Valley Girl (Australia)
Belt: Dorothy Perkins
Skirt: BooHoo
Boots: ASOS
Bracelets: Diva, and a mixture of collections up and down the East Coast of Australia
Necklace: Primark
Handbag: Market in Perth, Australia

After my black Dr Martens got sent home to the UK instead of here to Australia (sob) I was desperately in need of some footwear, seeing as I'd managed to ruin everything bar a pair of black flip flops. My previous shoe collection would be so ashamed. I picked these beauties up from ASOS for around 50 pounds and they are so heavy duty and chunky looking, my favorite with tights and lacy dresses when it finally cools down over here. A new found love for my wardrobe.

My shoe collection...

I posted a while ago that I might do a shoe collection and it got a great response so I spent a whole morning photographing my shoes...what a task that was!!

Sandals - I rarely wear these even in the hot weather, I'm more of a pumps girl, but I do like both my studded Primark pairs...
Back l-r: New Look, Primark, Primark, Primark
Front l-r: Primark, Primark, Primark, Office

Next is trainers, I was actually really surprised at how few I'd got when I laid them out as this is what I wear most out of work...maybe means I need more?! My Nike vintage blazers are my favourite, if I could afford these in every colour I'd buy them!!
Back l-r: Nike at Office, Nike from America, Nike from America, Vans from Office
Pink Nikes: America
Front l-r: Converse from Office, Converse from Office, Converse from Schuh, Nike gym trainers

I class these as pumps, and they're probably my second most worn shoe after my trainers. My favourite are probably my pink Flossy's and my boat shoes, even though I'm not sure they're pumps but I didn't know what else to put them with!
Boat shoes: Office
Back l-r: Primark, Primark, Primark, Step in Style
Front l-r: Primark, Flossy at Office, Office, Toms at Office

I'm going to quickly skim over the next lot because I really don't like them, I only buy them because they're decent for work and look OK with tights and a dress of whatever. No enthusiasm at all I'm afraid for these!
(I've also got coral Office brogues that Pixie Lott has but I left these at work!!)
Back l-r: Office, New Look, Primark, River Island
Front l-r: Primark, Primark, Primark, Primark

On to boots now, as you can see I love a black ankle boot!!
Back l-r: Office, Office, Step in Style, Step in Style, Ugg
Front l-r: River Island, no idea these were just a random shop in Birmingham, New Look (please don't ask why I own cowboy boots!), New Look
Back l-r: Office, Topshop, Office
Front l-r: Office, Topshop

I don't really have many wedges, but I guess the ones I do have I wear quite a lot...
l-r: New Look, Office, Forever21, River Island

Keeping on the heel theme, these are the heels I don't really wear very often, some of them are a bit lower and I wear these to work if I need to be a bit smarter, and the rest are just a bit old and I'm considering getting rid of them...
back l-r: Step in Style, New Look, Step in Style
Front l-r: New Look, New Look

Now comes the FIT section, my best heels that are all from Office except one!
 back l-r: Office, River Island
front l-r: Office, Office

Lastly is my black shoe boots, and I never realised quite how many pairs I had. Yes, they really do need to have their own section!
back l-r: Marks & Spencers (yes, really!) Dorothy Perkins, New Look
front l-r: Office, New Look, Step in Style

So there we go, I've got over 70 pairs in total, that's so bad!! Maybe stay away from shoes for a while!

My week in outfits...

Cannot believe I haven't blogged all week! I've hardly even been on blogger to see what you've all been up to which has been annoying. Basically I've been so busy, worked every day then just had plans every night, nothing particularly exciting just dinner with the girls, drinks with friends, then I went out with work on Friday, recovered yesterday then went out with the girls last night! Busy week! Anyway I've tried to save a bit of money so not bought much, however I did manage a quick Topshop spree on Thursday to finally get my american flag denim shorts, which I actually wore Friday night and last night! Great purchase!

This was a work outfit on one of the cooler days at the end of the week, just a simple oversized shirt from Primark over leggings. I also wore my hair extensions straight which I almost NEVER do. And from this picture you can see why!

This was for a catchup with one of my best friends who came back from Maga, we just went the pub and it had been such a beaut day so I wore my dark denim high waisted shorts from Miss Selfridge with a baggy rose pink Primark tshirt.

Now I do love this outfit, just not on me. It's one of those skirts that you want to be able to wear, but that looks hideous actually on me. The skirt was from primark and I wore it with my coral New Look wedges and just a plain black vest. Like I said...loved the outfit, just not on me! I was in look with my makeup on this, very plain but with one of my Sleek Pout Paints in Milkshake!

Easily my favourite outfit of the week! I went for a drink on Wednesday in town, and went for my Primark skinny pale blue jeans (SO TIGHT!) with my Office boat shoes and coral Urban Outfitters handbag. I can't wait to wear these jeans again!

This is pretty standard for me, denim shorts, tights, checked shirt and trainers. This was just for dinner with the girls, and this t-shirt was about a year old and I'd never worn it. So I ended up cutting the neck and sleeves out and made it a vest. The design is amazing, two skulls kissing surrounded by flowers and other random things.

This one is pretty similar to the last one, I went to the zoo today with a friend so just threw on my old faithful New Look high waisted shorts with converse and checked shirt, plus the sunglasses of course!!

Lovely toilet picture here! Sorry about that! These are my new Topshop shorts, they horrendously short but absolutely worth it! I wore them with just a plain black Primark body, my Office shoes and urban outfitters bag. Lush outfit, I love it!

So that's it really, I also got a load of new Model's Own nail varnishes so hopefully have lots of nice nail of the day's coming up. I found an amazing nail combination this week, I'll definitely be wearing this all the time now.

(with flash)

Just a really barbie pink from H&M, with Pink Fizz from models own over the top. SO girlie and glittery, can't go wrong!
Anyway hopefully I'll get back onto blogging again this week, I've got the Witch face primer to review for you, such an amazing product, and I promise you'll get my top 10 lip product post!

Essex Fashion....

Some people would call this an oxymoron. I personally think it makes sense.

Let’s look at a few examples:

Who doesn’t love a (slimming) all black outfit? Black wet look leggings and a floaty black top with lace detailing sounds spot on right? Add a pair of heels to make it glamorous and bob’s your uncle.
Now take a look at Jess and tell me she doesn’t look incredible (this top is also New Look so you can forget what you hear about having to wear designer to look this good).

(photo from towiestyle.blogspot.com)

How about enhancing your eyes with makeup?
Lauren opts for a subtle yet effective smokey eye along with pale glossy lips. Effortlessly beautiful.

Heels in the day? Teamed with pencil skirt and vintage top, Lydia rocks it. And the heels? They’re New Look.

(photo taken from http://misslydiarose.blogspot.com)

And the maxi dress?
Maria goes high-street for her coloured flowing maxi underneath a gorgeous jacket.

OK so they sometimes get it wrong; but who doesn’t. The only difference is, when I wear a too tight/too slutty dress on a night out that flashes my pants and becomes see-through at the flash of a camera bulb, the whole of the ITV2 viewing public don’t see it.

(sorry I love you Amy but I'm just not too convinced on this one....)

I know that if I had the option to be as glamorous in my daily life as they can be, I certainly would. However I don’t think this....

....is suitable to be sat behind a desk trying to book a Hog Roast for 50 people at a housing development in North Hykeham.

This isn’t to say that I don’t try and add a bit of essex into my everyday life.

There’s always got to be some pink (Amy Childs, we share the same opinion on this!)

and I am a false eyelash addict (eyelure double lashes are incredible)

It’s got to be big hair, and tan tan tan! I would actually give my entire shoe collection (but can you please spare my River Island brown wooden heeled sandles?) to go to Amy’s Salon for an Amy Childs tan: “nice and brown but just a bit orange” (I love that girl).

Anybody who rocks highstreet the way they do and look so fab deserves some recognition in the style stakes, and not dismissed as ‘essex girls’. Quite frankly, I love them all and I’m insanely ‘jel’ of their wardrobe and lifestyle combined.
