Tiny Birmingham Haul and OOTD...

So I fully intended to go to Birmingham to pick up a few things for Australia and failed spectacularly! I mainly wanted to go to Illamasqua to pick up one of their Brow Cakes and the sealing gel which I did manage to get. I got the shade Gaze which is a dark grey but does go almost black with the sealing gel, but I was slightly disappointed they didn't have a black shade. I also just picked up a couple of rings from Forever21...rude not to...

I just wore my new Zara top, H&M leather jacket, Zara jeggings, white converse and standard River Island bag....

No shopping shopping trip....

Shopping has gone from being my number one hobby to absolute torture for me because of saving for Oz. I popped into Leicester with Mum today and managed to behave particularly well. I just picked up one or two things in Primark for my trip (vests, leggings etc) and then treated myself in Zara. Everyone's been raving about Zara recently and I can SO see why, there's some right gems in there! I got this top for £15.99 mainly because it's FIT!

I'll probably wear it with my studded denim shorts, ripped tights, leather jacket and my beloved Office boots. Just need an occasion to wear it now!

Detoxin'ell.....

God this is hard work. Not only am I not really seeing any results, I've also broken out in a load of disgusting spots!! Not happy about this! Apparently it's all the toxins leaving my body, but I wish they'd leave in the form of my muffin tops disappearing!!

Got a couple of outfit posts for you....

This was for work at Office on Sunday, white high-top Converse (Office) tights from Primark, denim shorts Topshop and top from New Look (brand new in, and got loads of comments on it!)

Work today, new Zara dress that I might actually wear for a night out over summer because I decided I LOVE it! Tights are Primark, wedges Forever 21.

Just thought I'd share some of my fave beauty products every now and again, as I'm quite safe and tend to stick to the same things if I like them (why fix it if it ain't broken??!) So here's my absolute fave body moisturiser....

A bargain at £2.99 from Superdrug, and comes in a decent sized 475ml container. It's not highly scented, rubs in really easily and goes a really long way. It's especially great for me as I'm a bit of a moisturising lover, especially as I fake tan so much, so I love to moisturise before and after applying, and every single time I get out of the bath or shower. I'd really recommend giving this a go!

I'm also having a bit of a dilemma. I love a lie in in the morning, which I really don't get with my 6.30 starts Monday to Friday! I am pretty organised, and do get my bag ready the night before (Primary School style) and my clothes out so I don't have to faff about in the morning staring into my wardrobe with complete confusion. My downfall is searching out my makeup! Look at the state of this....

How the hell I find anything I do not know! I really need to get some sort of make-up organisation system/storage, so my new task is to hunt something out (I'm thinking B&Q style tool-box?!) if anyone has anything like this or knows anywhere that sells anything like this I'd love to know!?!

Only shopping will do....

When you've had a trauma like I had this morning, this really is the case. I did something I've not done since I was 10....fall over. Straight on my knees, the full blow cushioned by my poor River Island handbag and my blackberry (luckily I had my case on it to take the scuffs). The main difference being, when I fell over when I was 10, I was allowed to scream blue murder while someone nursed my poor bloody knee with an antiseptic wipe and pop on a Barbie plaster. When you're 22 however, you have to put on a brave face, walk the remaining few yards to the bus and pretend there's nothing wrong. Worst bit is, I fell on my dodgy knee that had only just started to get better! Clearly I'm back to square one again.

So like I said, I comforted myself with a lunchtime trip to Primark.

I was in serious need of some undies now the summer's coming. My dingy white bra's and skanky elastic-less pants won't cut it, so naturally it's Primark for brilliantly priced, good quality smalls. For £1 a pair, who cares if you only wear them a couple of times or you fake tan in them and they turn a manky shade of brown?

I have developed a maxi skirt obsession, it's kind of out weighing my trouser obsession at the moment, although I appreciate they're not always the most practical of clothing items. I adore this one, £16 from Primark. I especially love the black bit around the bottom, because it saves the cream becoming discoloured. Haven't tried it on yet but from twirling it around the kitchen a few times, it looks like it's going to have a lovely movement to it. I think I'll wear it with black sandals and a black loose cami top. I also think it will look nice with a black or coloured bandeau if I ever get a flat stomach (must.stay.away.from.crisps!) If it's long enough, I'm considering it with black heeled worker boots.....

This one could cause tears later. I had to buy an 8 and I'm usually a 10 in this style from Primark, but I could NOT let this one go so I risked it. It is truly beautiful and it is gettin worn asap. I'll probably pick a colour out of it for my sandals (orange or maybe pink) and wear a plain black vest with it. I'm off with a coffee with one of my besties tomorrow so I'm hoping it will be nice enough to crack this out with my cropped denim jacket. Love at first sight (fingers crossed it fits....)

And yes you may well recognise it. I've got it in navy black and tan and wore it on a previous post, and got SO MANY comments when I wore it that I had to go and get the cream and navy one. Fits like a dream, is so easy to wear with some sandals and a skinny wait belt tied around the middle.

Just a couple of outfits from the week.

The was from work on Thursday, dress and tights from Primark, suede shoe boots from Office.

Went for a drive and a chill with a mate in his new car, Jeggings from Zara, top from New York and customised with the sleeves ripped off, boat shoes Office. I'm sure these haven't come off my feet since I bought them!!

Anyway my knee's killing, and I need a green tea to ease the pain. Oh ok what I really need is a large glass of rose, but this bloody detox is going to work even if it kills me....

Bank Holiday Pt 1....

Has been just as I'd anticipated. Messy.

Thursday at work I wore my H&M shorts with my new Primark top and shoes. I absolutely had to get this top it was SO cute!

Thursday night was full of wine, vodka and lots of laughs with the girls:

(l-r) Steph had her new Forever 21 dress on with tan shoes from Evans and a belt borrowed from yours truly. Kellie had wedges from New Look (her dancing shoes apparently) and flowery shorts from H&M (short envy). Sarah had her new dress from Zara she bought in Birmingham, and her gorgeous mary jane heels from New Look. I wore my River Island flowery skirt and 3 year old River Island wooden heels that are still going strong today!

On Friday I went into Leicester shopping with mum and dad, and went out for dinner (I'll be honest with you, I only went for the free food!!) I did buy a new handbag but that's only because I didn't have a bag to go with the above outfit so I went straight to River Island to buy a new one (disappointingly didn't have one I liked so ended up in H&M for a HUGE tan number that I'm a bit in love with for the bargain of £25!!)

Anyway I wore a maxi dress from Primark, tan sandals from New Look and a plaited tan belt that Mum had free on a pair of trousers!! I went a bit over board on bangles that are all a mixture of Primark and New Look, and my feather earings from Topshop. The sunglasses were from a random show in New York that I LOVE! Absolutely classic shape, will never date.

On Friday night I went to a party with Steph but kept is casual with my new Jeggings from Zara, a white crop from Topshop, and my amazing coral wedges from New Look (thought I'd test drive them on a night where I didn't have to be up all night dancing, and I have to say they were a success!!)

Got it all again tonight as well....another night in HTC with Steph...now what to wear....

Get your glad rags on.....

I need this girls night out so badly….me and the three besties are off into Hinckley Town Centre (more commonly known as HTC) to drink a horrendous amount of rose and vodka, cause some mischief and dance the night away. I don’t know why I’m quite so excited about a night out in Hinckley (usually it ends in some sort of disaster or is just generally rubbish), but I do seem to have a positive track record of Easter Thursdays! Also, progress has been made from previous post, and I am REALLY hoping he’ll be out tonight. I need to prove he can trust me, and I also need to remind him how good it all used to be.

Anyway so now of course comes the fun part. Currently sitting downstairs are Kellie, Sarah and Steph, eating pizza and drinking their 3rd glass of God only knows what, outfits hanging up in my wardrobe ready to get glamorous later. We’ve got a mixture of cute summer dresses from Zara and classic navy one shouldered numbers from Forever 21. I’m not sure what I’m going for yet. I’m thinking a skirt (maybe the River Island flowery one from a while back that still hasn’t had a wear) or the new black Forever 21 skirt. Either way I’ll team it with my signature over the knee socks and huge curly hair, get my Eylure double thickness lashes glued on, and a squirt of Burberry perfume (I’m going to need some good luck tonight either way the night goes!)

Wish me luck, I’ll have pictures on asap I promise!

jump in the pool.....

Today I wore:

Grey drop crotch suit trousers (rolled up because the sun was shining!): Zara
Black t-shirt: Primark
Patent brogues: Office

And for some reason I decided to wear some stupid peach glittery eyeshadow which just made my face sparkle all day. Error! Also, I thought I'd add some colour with my scarf, which the lady in Tesco kindly told me she thought was 'pretty'. She then asked me where it was from, and when I said 'I got it at V festival last year' she went 'well I'm not likely to go there am I?!?' Sorry love, I'll lie next time.

OK OK so I went shopping after work. I'm bored of all my clothes all ready, and in fairness I did go in to get some of mums mothers day present. So what if I ended up with one or two (or more?) items for myself? I've been working hard after all!

Topshop: £18

I was going to get this in cream (for work) but was quite a fan of the navy. I stood there with both of them in my hand for ages and then I thought of the very wise words of my mate Kellie (she claims herself to be a VERY big navy fan) that 'navy is great, goes with everything' (or something along those lines) and went for this one. Will go with my pale grey Oasis peg leg trousers. Maybe even tomorrow if the sun stays out?

Dress: Topshop

BIG fan of maxi dresses atm, but it's far to cold to wear nice summary ones. Plus I love black. And anything plain. This is going to be worn with either biker boots and a big chunky knit cardigan, or some espadrilles and a checked shirt, and I'll probably wear the plum lipstick with it. It just fits. Not round the boyfriend though. He hates maxi dresses and coloured lipstick, so don't think this would be a winner! Although saying this, this dress gives me serious curves!

I went for another maxi which I'm not too sure about, think it could do with being a size smaller because it doesn't hang properly around the bottom (see below)

River Island did me proud today, I was a big big fan. Got a nice chunky cardigan that will look so nice over my new black Topshop maxi or just a tshirt and jeans, but I can't wait to wear it as a cover-up in the summer over ripped denim shorts and a crop, when it cools down in the evening.

Not the biggest floral fan in the world but I loved this. With black tights and tan brogues it will look lovely, probably for work but I also fancy taking this for a trip out at night. The pocket details are so cute, and the fabric will be nice for the summer when I can go bare leg (big apologies for the state of my fat pale legs in these pics btw! need a tan).

I'm a big supporter of over the knee socks. Black dress, shoe boots, and over the knee socks. Denim shorts, pumps, checked shirt and over the knee socks. I love them over patterned tights, opaques, lit
literally everything, but I'm not scared to admit that I'm a bit one dimensional. They're always black. So I thought I'd jazz it up a bit and get some different coloured ones. These were from Next and I love them too much, they're probably getting worn on Saturday night to a party I'm going to, with the River Island shoes I've got on in this picture (and maybe the new skirt?)

Oh and also, I love a blazer. This one is the same as my black one I've had on here before, the £15 H&M beauty, but I thought I'd go 'wild' (sorry bad one) and get the grey and black leopard print one!
